5. Que pensez-vous des autres membres du cast?
De grands talents. Tous.

8. Avez-vous d'autres projets en ce moment?
"The Get Down" Pt. 2 est diffusé le 7 avril, "The Bad Batch" sort en Juin 217 et je me prépare à commencer le tournage la nouvelle série de Showtime "The CHI" en Avril.

"The Get Down", "Narcos", "Atlanta", "The Americans", "VEEP"

Profitez de "The Get Down" partie 2!

FOR ENGLISH READERS

Currently part of the cast of the Netflix series The Get Down, whose second part of Season 1 comes out on April 7th, Yolonda Ross, who plays Ms. Green accepted to answer a few questions about the show and her upcoming projects .

1. How did you get the role of Ms. Green in The Get Down?
I had originally auditioned for the role Mrs. Kipling, but they thought I would be better suited for Ms. Green, which I'm thankful for.  As far as I know, we all had to act and sing in our auditions, so that's what I did. I knew a few people from the show already, like Co-creator Stephen Adly Guirgis.  We're both in Labyrinth Theater Company, Seth Zvi Rosenfeld, and Nelson George.  So, it felt comfortable going in for it, because you know people are aware of the kind of work you do.

2. What do you like the most about the show?
Everything! HA!  The music, the storytelling, all the work that is put into each one of these shows. It's storytelling on a different level.  You have a cast full of different hued brown people acting, singing, dancing, and delivering content, which has not been touched upon, or seen through these kinds of characters.
3. What can you tell about the part 2 of the season 1 which starts on April 7?
Be ready!  Music, Music, and More Music  with plenty of Dancing.

4. How usually goes a day on set?
Hair, Makeup, Be ready for anything.

5. What do you think about the others cast members?
Major talents. All of them.

6. You recently had a role in the 3rd season How To Get Away With Murder. How was this experience and how was it to work with Viola Davis?
It was fun. I've had the pleasure of working with Viola a few times, and we're good friends.  So, it made it a lot of fun getting to work with her on another one of her projects.  It was very lively with her and L. Scott Caldwell.

7. What do you like the most about being an actress? What is your best experience?
Learning.  I like learning from my characters, and the projects. If I'm giving my all, I need to get something from it. I feel they all are my "best" experience, because I'm walking away with something. If pushed, I will say "Stranger Inside" and my short "Breaking Night", because they are my firsts. First film, and first film written and directed by me.

8. Do you have any other projects at the moment?
"The Get Down" Pt. 2 is airing April 7th, "The Bad Batch" is coming out in June 2017 and I'm getting ready to start filming the new Showtime series "The CHI"  in April.

9. What are your favorites Tv shows at the moment?
"The Get Down", "Narcos", "Atlanta", "The Americans", "VEEP"

10. Do you have some words for your French fans?
(In French) Merci de suivre mon travail. Profitez de "The Get Down" partie 2!

I thank Yolonda Ross very much for agreeing to answer my questions.
